But what are Tantric Jade Eggs?
The Jade Egg is a tool used by women in the lineage of Taoist Sexual Arts (the Oriental branch of Tantra). It's thought to be a practice of THOUSANDS of years! It is a pure and natural crystal from the earth which is placed into the yoni (tantric word for vagina). The woman then undertakes a series of practices and meditations with the Jade Egg inside. They say in ancient China, every mother gave one to her teenage daughter!
There are thought to be many benefits of these practices, including:
- strengthening the muscles of the vagina
- "de-armouring" the vagina, which means clearing blockages and thus awakening deeper sensitivity
- clearing old energies from the area and bringing healing
- bringing more awareness to the sexual area
- awakening one's sexuality in solo practices
Thus we can help to move towards creating an awakened yoni!
It can be a daily or weekly practice, from as brief as five minutes to as deep as two hours.
It is important to read a leaflet or book before using the egg, or to watch the introductory talk on the DVD.
The DVD is one hour long and contains a series of gentle exercises and meditations. You can follow the hour-long program or choose one section at a time.
